About Dr. Andy Erlich
Dr. Andy Erlich is a clinical psychologist with extensive training and experience in the treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorders, ADHD, and schizoaffective disorder. He is also a renowned author, motivational speaker, consultant and a certified yoga instructor.
Andy trained at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, where he worked with children and families; at the California Institute of Technology, where he worked with staff and students; and at the Affiliated Psychiatric and Medical Clinic/Alhambra Psychiatric Hospital, where he worked with adolescents, adults and families. In 1981, he established his own psychotherapy practice in Los Angeles. Then, in 2002, he moved with his family to Arizona, where he now provides psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families as a member of the Family Behavioral Health practice in Scottsdale.
Throughout his career as a psychologist, Andy pursued his deep interest in how our differences both connect and divide us. This led to a parallel career as a consultant and award-winning motivational speaker, offering keynote addresses, training exercises and cultural immersion experiences to preeminent organizations worldwide.

Andy shared his unique insights about the intersection of psychology and culture in his first two books, Selling to Latinos and Exploring Culture: How to do Business with 17 Cultural and Religious Groups. In 2011, he published his third book, The Long Shadows: The Story of Jake Erlich. This true-life novel is a moving tribute to the life of his remarkable uncle, Jacob Reuben Erlich, who overcame the challenges of an 8 foot 6 frame to win admiration and respect as a circus performer, silent film star, artist, poet, vaudevillian and business executive.
Andy’s unique combination of psychological skills and cultural insights has proven to be extremely appealing to the media, which has called on him throughout his career to write bylined articles and to offer expert commentary for news and trends stories. His byline has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Adweek, Los Angeles Magazine, Ad Age Magazine and Marketing News, among others. He has also been quoted in such prominent publications as Forbes, USA Today, BusinessWeek, Newsweek and The New York Times.
